The pearl of great value
--
"The Pearl of Great Value" It is a touching oil painting on an 8x10 inch canvas panel. Matthew 13:45-46.
• The Blue Sea Background: The scene is framed by a background depicting the blue waters of the sea . The shades of blue create an atmosphere of depth, serenity, and vastness, alluding to the merchant's quest as he travelled the seas to find the pearl of supreme value.
• Thematic Depth: The minimalist and focused composition gives full prominence to the meaning of the parable: the Kingdom of Heaven is like this precious pearl, for which it is worthwhile to give up everything one has to obtain it. The focus on the open hand emphasizes the personal relationship and possession of this spiritual treasure.
