Reflections of the Wensum

This enchanting oil painting with pallet knife, on canvas captures a transition of seasons throughout the Wensum River, in Norwich, United Kingdom. Measuring 30x40 cm, the size of this painting is approximately 12 x 16 inches .

The Tree Line: The main focus beyond the riverbank reveals dense vegetation in full autumnal transformation. Trees in vibrant shades of green blend harmoniously with canopies that already boast an intense golden yellow , suggesting the first signs of autumn in the region.
• Reflections in the Water: The river's surface acts as a textured mirror. Brushstrokes of oil paint capture the subtle movement of the water, distorting and elongating the shapes of the green and yellow leaves into fluid, luminous reflections that dominate the lower half of the canvas.
• Depth and Atmosphere: The choice of oil on canvas lends a rich texture to the foliage and a translucent depth to the water. The contrast between the freshness of the green and the warmth of the yellow creates a welcoming and typically British atmosphere, immortalizing the Norwich riverside landscape on a calm day.
